Sara Brinton is co-author of In Defense of the Fatherless. Sara’s passion for adoption and orphan care is rooted in her experience. Sara and her husband Mark are the parents of four children, including Gabrielle who was adopted from Uganda. This adoption journey compelled her to ask questions and ultimately to write a book about reforming international adoption and orphan care.
A Seattle native, Sara studied Global and Urban Ministry at Seattle Pacific University. Sara has traveled and worked in more than thirty countries around the world. Sara currently resides in Austin, Texas, where she is the Director of Marketing for Noonday Collection, a socially responsible fashion brand. Sara believes that entrepreneurship can be a sustainable solution to poverty and injustice. As a writer, adoptive mom and social entrepreneur, Sara is passionate about empowering Christians to make a lasting difference in the world.
